Steve Martin himself has revealed that the third season of Hulu’s “Only Murders in the Building” will premiere on August 8th on the service.
Martin revealed the news during his “You Won’t Believe What They Look Like Today!” touring show alongside his ‘Murders’ co-star Martin Short at a performance at Walt Disney Theater in Orlando on Saturday night.
The date news came during the warm-up part of the show. The pair were showing off photos from the set with Martin stating the date followed by Short saying: “Our show is like Steve trying to pee – it streams for 33 minutes.”
The news comes as the third season wrapped filming just under two weeks ago. Unlike so many streaming series, ‘Murders’ has been shockingly consistent with its filming and release schedules, with each season premiere coming in August.
The new season sees the loveable trio of true crime-loving podcasters Charles, Oliver, and Mabel (Steve Martin, Martin Short and Selena Gomez) reunite to figure out who killed Ben Glenroy (Paul Rudd), who dies on stage on the opening night of Oliver and Charles’ new play.
Also onboard for the new season are Tina Fey, Vanessa Aspillaga, Adina Verson, Michael Cyril Creighton and Ryan Broussard, along with new to the show Jesse Williams who plays a documentarian with interest in the Arconia building and his own set of secrets.
Hulu says the show is its most popular original comedy and spent nine weeks in Nielsen’s top 10 streaming series chart in 2022.
