AMC has released new photos from “Orphan Black: Echoes,” the upcoming spin-off to the now decade-old and critically acclaimed BBC America sci-fi series “Orphan Black” which launched the career of “She-Hulk” and “Perry Mason” star Tatiana Maslaney.
The new images show off series star Krysten Ritter as Lucy, a woman searching for her place in the world. Also spotted in the stills are Avan Jogia and Keeley Hawes, who co-star – as does Amanda Fix.
Set in the near future, ‘Echoes’ will follow a group of women whose lives become intertwined as they embark on a journey together, “unravelling the mystery of their identity and uncovering a wrenching story of love and betrayal.”
Anna Fishko created, pens and showruns the series along with executive producing alongside David Fortier, Ivan Schneeberg, John Fawcett, Katie O’Connell Marsh, Nick Nantell and Kerry Appleyard. Fawcett also directs.
Running for four seasons, the original “Orphan Black” series followed a woman named Sarah (Tatiana Maslany) who witnesses the death of another woman (also Maslany) who looks just like her. She soon discovers a much deeper conspiracy at work that involves several clones (all of whom were played by Maslany).
That original show ran from 2013-2017 and managed to snag three primetime Emmys. All five seasons of the show are now available to stream on the AMC+ service.
“Orphan Black: Echoes” currently does not have a premiere date.
