“Rocketman” and “Eddie the Eagle” helmer Dexter Fletcher has reportedly closed a deal to direct the film “Fountain of Youth” for Skydance Productions.
James Vanderbilt (“Zodiac,” “The Amazing Spider-Man”) has penned ‘Youth’ which revolves around the mythical fountain that grants immortality to those who drink from it. Story details for the project are being kept under wraps.
Vanderbilt, Tripp Vinson, William Sherak, Paul Neinstein, David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, and Don Granger will produce.
Fletcher and Skydance most recently teamed on the action rom-com “Ghosted” starring Chris Evans and Ana de Armas. That film is set to debut April 21st on Apple TV+ and dropped its trailer earlier this week.
Vanderbilt co-wrote this weekend’s “Scream VI” and has several Netflix projects on the way including the “Murder Mystery” sequel and the thriller series “The Night Agent” which released its first trailer today.
