The Idol
HBO’s controversial drama “The Idol,” starring Abel ‘The Weeknd’ Tesfaye, is in talks to debut at the Cannes Film Festival in May. The festival has not yet screened the drama, which has undergone a number of changes behind the scenes. [Source: Variety]

Godzilla Island
For the first time, the short-form 1997 series “Godzilla Island” is now available to watch outside of Japan. New episodes (with subtitles) will release every Tuesday and Thursday on the official Godzilla YouTube page.

A spin-off of the Godzilla franchise, the 256 mini-episodes featured most of Earth’s kaiju living on an island in 2097 under the watch of the human peacekeeping force G-Guard. Problems soon arise. [Source: YouTube]

Beavis and Butt-Head
Paramount+ has announced an April 20th premiere date for the second season of Mike Judge’s “Beavis and Butt-Head” revival with two episodes launching on that date.

The episodes will premiere a day later in Australia and the U.K. and the first season will be released on DVD later this month. It’s not clear if a third season of the series will be ordered as yet.

FROM
MGM+ has released one for the second season of horror series “FROM” which returns April 23rd. The series follows a group of people trapped in a forest-surrounded town from which they can’t escape.

Jury Duty
Amazon Freevee’s docu-style multi-camera comedy series “Jury Duty” has released a trailer. The series premieres with four of its eight episodes on April 7th, and James Marsden leads the cast.

The series chronicles the inner workings of an American jury trial through the eyes of one particular juror, Ronald Gladden. Gladden is unaware the entire case is fake, everyone except him is an actor and everything that happens – inside the courtroom and out – is planned.

The Big Door Prize
The full trailer for Apple TV+ series “The Big Door Prize” has arrived. In the series, led by Chris O’Dowd, a small town is forever changed when a mysterious machine appears in the general store promising to show a person’s full potential. The series premieres March 29th.
