Apple TV’s acclaimed sci-fi/dark comedy series “Murderbot,” starring Alexander Skarsgard, is getting a whole bunch of familiar faces for its second season in what looks to be a fairly star-packed run of TV.
In a new 42-second video posted to YouTube, the full second-season cast has been revealed – the update arriving a full year after the series was renewed for a second season following its premiere early last year.
Returnees from the first season include Nora Dumezweni as Mensah, David Dastmalchian as Gurathin, Akshay Khanna as Ratthi, Tamara Podemski as Bharadwaj, Sabrina Wu as Pin-Lee, and Tattiawna Jones as Arada.
Also back is the recurring cast of the fictional show “The Rise and Fall of Sanctuary Moon” including John Cho, DeWanda Wise, Jack McBrayer, and Clark Gregg are all reprising their respective roles.
Joining them in the second season are the likes of Steve Buscemi, Michael Sheen, Tramell Tillman, Patton Oswalt, Wanda Sykes, Topher Grace, Blair Underwood, Martha Plimpton, Brendan Hunt, Kali Reiss, Katy O’Brian, Nicholas Braun, Griffin Newman, Jason George, Britne Oldford and Meredith Salenger among others.
The first season adapted “All Systems Red,” the first book of Martha Wells’ The Murderbot Diaries. The series follows a self-aware security construct, Murderbot, which secretly gains free will while protecting humans on dangerous missions.
