“Everywhere” Wins Top Producers Guild Award

A24

The 2023 Producers Guild of America Awards were handed out in Los Angeles last night, the ceremony is considered the best bellwether for the Academy Awards’ top prize of Best Picture. Since 2009, only three movies that won the PGA Best Picture honor did not go on to win Best Picture at the Oscars.

As a result, the Daniels’ “Everything Everywhere All at Once” appears to be the clear front runner to take Best Picture at this year’s Oscars ceremony. Final voting opens on March 2nd so things aren’t set in stone yet.

Other winners included “Guillermo del Toro’s Pinocchio” for animation, “Navalny” for documentary, and “Weird: The Al Yankovic Story” for best streaming or telemovie. On TV, “The White Lotus,” “The Bear” and “The Dropout” took the top honors.
