“Assassin Club,” “Longlegs” Set Distribution Deals

Eagle Pictures

Paramount Pictures has picked up most of the world rights to the action-thriller “Assassin Club” starring Henry Golding, Noomi Rapace, Sam Neill and Daniela Melchior.

The film already opened in Italy this month and hits the UK next month – no word on a U.S. date as yet. Rights to the Middle East, Spain, France and Eastern Europe have gone to other distributors.

Golding plays an assassin given a contract to kill seven people around the world only to discover the targets are also assassins who have been hired to kill him. Camille Delamarre directs from a script by Thomas C. Dunn. Filming took place in Italy last year.

That’s not the only hot project right now. Black Bear International has set a whole boatload of international deals for the Nicolas Cage and Maika Monroe-led “Longlegs” which is helmed by Osgood ‘Oz’ Perkins. Neon is reportedly the front runner to take the North American rights.

Currently in production, Monroe plays a gifted new FBI recruit assigned to the unsolved case of an elusive serial killer (Cage). As the case takes complex turns, unearthing evidence of the occult, Harker discovers a personal connection and must race against time to stop him.
