“Outer Banks” Renewed For Season 4

Netflix

Netflix has renewed its popular crime drama/adventure series “Outer Banks” for a fourth season – the order coming a full five days ahead of the show’s third season debut on February 23rd.

The news was announced on Saturday evening at Poguelandia, a fan event that took place at California’s Huntington Beach where a nine-minute preview of the third season was shown off.

The cast including Chase Stokes, Madelyn Cline, Madison Bailey, Jonathan Daviss, Carlacia Grant, Rudy Pankow, Austin North and Drew Starkey all showed up and surprised the crowd with the renewal announcement.

Co-creators, executive producers and showrunners Jonas Pate, Josh Pate and Shannon Burke subsequently issued a joint statement saying:

“Seeing Poguelandia come to life was nothing short of spectacular. The Pogues are enjoying an adventure of a lifetime and we now get to map out more twists and turns as the joyride continues into Season 4 of ‘Outer Banks’. Thank you to Netflix, our cast and the amazing fans who helped to make this happen.”

The show’s first season premiered in April 2020 at the height of the pandemic and quickly scored a dedicated audience who returned for the second season in July 2021.

Should it stick to its pattern it’s likely the fourth season will arrive on screens in the back half of 2024.
