Amazon Prime Video has released the first teaser trailer for its new series “The Power” based on Naomi Alderman’s award-winning novel of the same name.
The emotionally driven story chronicles the lives of teenage girls across the globe who suddenly develop the ability to electrocute people and things at will.
The ten-episode first season stretches from London to Seattle and Nigeria to Eastern Europe as what begins as a small tingle soon evolves into something much greater that completely upends the world’s power balance.
Toni Collette, Auli’i Cravalho, John Leguizamo, Toheeb Jimoh, Josh Charles, Eddie Marsan, Ria Zmitrowicz and co-star in the series which is showrun and executive produced by Raelle Tucker.
Alderman, Jane Featherstone, Naomi de Pear, Claire Wilson, and Reed Morano executive produce. “The Power” premieres Friday, March 31st on Amazon Prime with episodes to release weekly every Friday up until the season finale on May 12th.
