Tilda Swinton Exits HBO’s “Parasite” Series

Netflix

Tilda Swinton has dropped out of Adam McKay’s TV series based on Bong Joon Ho’s Oscar-winning Best Picture title “Parasite”.

Swinton has been linked since February 2020 and was set to play the female lead alongside Mark Ruffalo in the six-hour limited series which isn’t a remake, rather an “original series that will explore the hidden stories and secrets that Parasite did not answer”.

Bong and McKay are working closely to develop the project for HBO. Bong previously worked with Swinton on both “Snowpiercer” and “Okja”.

Of her exit, Swinton tells Variety “I don’t think I’ll be a part of it, but I’m very happy to be a cheerleader” and remains a wholehearted supporter of the series.
