Damien Chazelle’s lavish period piece “Babylon” has moved up its release. Paramount Pictures has announced the film will now open everywhere on December 23rd in a wide release.
That’s a change from before when the film was previously set to only open in select theaters on Christmas Dat before expanding nationwide on January 6th.
Set in late 1920s Hollywood during the movie industry’s transition from silent films to talkies, Babylon explores the rise and fall of multiple characters.
Brad Pitt, Margot Robbie and Diego Calva lead a packed cast that includes Jovan Adepo, Li Jun Li, Jean Smart and Tobey Maguire star.
