After premiering the first gameplay footage last month, Nintendo has unveiled a new ‘overview’ trailer for its upcoming remake of 1998’s “The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time”.
The title will score a release exclusively on the Nintendo Switch 2, the game built from the ground up for the platform, starting November 5th with pre-orders available now.
In the game, you venture through the Kingdom of Hyrule, where you’ll meet lively characters, battle ferocious monsters, and solve puzzles scattered throughout dungeons.
Use all sorts of items, including the titular ocarina, to suit your needs and forge a path forward.
This title will support ‘Zelda Notes’, a game-specific service usable with the Nintendo Switch App for smart devices. Two new amiibo figures are also coming that will give players special in-game masks.
The game launch comes six months ahead of the live-action “The Legend of Zelda” film launching May 2027. Though not confirmed, it’s speculated that a similar remake of “The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask” could be coming in the not-too-distant future as well.
