HBO’s “Game of Thrones” prequel spin-off series “House of the Dragon” has settled into a rhythm.

According to Variety, the first season is now averaging 29 million viewers per episode across linear and streaming, while the recent fifth episode reportedly drew 3% more viewers than the fourth.

Overall the show, now halfway through its first season, has seemingly found its core audience. The first episode was watched by nearly 10 million people across all platforms when it first debuted, with subsequent episodes doing slightly higher or lower same day numbers in the same range.

The upcoming sixth episode will see a major narrative and casting shift due to a time jump with Emma D’Arcy and Olivia Cooke taking over the roles of Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen and Lady Alicent Hightower respectively. The first clip of D’Arcy in character can be seen below.
