Rustin
The first photo is out of Colman Domingo as Civil Rights icon Bayard Rustin in filmmaker George C. Wolfe’s “Rustin”, which will hit Netflix in 2023. Chris Rock, Glynn Turman, Audra McDonald, Aml Ameen, CCH Pounder, Da’Vine Joy Randolph and Jeffrey Wright co-star while Dustin Lance Black penned the script and Barack & Michelle Obama executive produce.

Rustin was a key organiser on the March on Washington in 1963, but spent decades of his life working to end racial discrimination in the workplace. As he was also an out gay man, he often had to work behind the scenes, and many of his achievements have been lost to history. This aims to correct that. [Source: The Playlist]

Godzilla vs. Kong 2
A photo of a clipboard from the set of the currently in production “Godzilla vs. Kong” sequel has revealed “Origins” to be the working title for the Adam Wingard-directed film. Brett and Drew Pierce (“The Wretched”) have been set to write and direct the supernatural horror “Room 428” at Screen Gems. “The Black Phone” team of director Scott Derrickson, screenwriter C. Robert Cargill and Sherryl Clark are on board to produce. [Source: Deadline]

The Underdoggs
Snoop Dogg is set to star in MGM’s sports comedy film “The Underdoggs” and will produce the movie alongside “Black-ish” creator Kenya Barris. The film is targeting an October 20th 2023 release.

Dogg plays 2Js, a former NFL superstar who has a run-in with the law and winds up coaching youth football in lieu of going to prison in the hopes of relaunching his fledgling career. [Source: Variety]
