“Mindhunter” and “Lights Out” alum Holt McCallany has signed on for a role in Christopher McQuarrie’s “Mission: Impossible Dead Reckoning – Part Two” which is currently in production.
The eighth overall title in the franchise, specifics of the plot are very much under wraps as it’s expected to be a potential franchise ender, though McCallany is said to be playing U.S. Secretary of Defense Bernstein.
McCallany joins an ensemble led by Tom Cruise, one that also includes Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham and Pom Klementieff. McQuarrie helms from his own script and produces alongside Cruise.
The film is currently on track for a release June 28th 2024, a year after the first part opens in cinemas on July 14th next year.
