The long-in-the-works feature film spin-off of the popular “Peaky Blinders” crime family series will shoot at new film studios being built in Birmingham.
Speaking to British radio station Heart FM, Knight has confirmed he is still writing the film’s script and is close to completing it. He says the film is planning to begin shooting sometime before the end of 2023.
He adds: “We’re going to shoot it at the studios in Digbeth, and on location in Digbeth in Birmingham. Digbeth and Small Heath [are] where the Peaky Blinders actually roamed, so it’s like Peaky’s coming home.”
The story will follow on from the final sixth season that dropped earlier this year, and much of the show’s cast are expected to return. He adds that “some new faces will hopefully be quite surprising”
