Disney+ has announced a Spring 2023 launch date for a ‘second volume’ of its animated anthology series “Star Wars: Visions”.
The first volume was released in September last year and consisted of nine standalone anime shorts crafted by some of Japan’s most celebrated anime studios. Each short told all-new stories in the franchise with creators at each studio given essentially free rein.
The second volume of shorts will hail from animation studios across the world including Japan, India, the United Kingdom, Ireland, Spain, Chile, France, South Africa, and the United States.
As a result, it will utilise a variety of animation styles – not just anime. It’s not clear if any studio that worked on the first volume will return for the second.
