“Ghostbusters: Afterlife” and “Freaky” actor Celeste O’Connor has been cast in Marvel’s “Madame Web” film at Sony Pictures. The film is a part of the Sony Marvel universe alongside the likes of “Venom,” “Morbius” and the upcoming “Kraven the Hunter”.
The project serves as an origin story for Madame Web, a clairvoyant whose psychic abilities allow her to see within the spider world itself. Dakota Johnson plays the title role while Sydney Sweeney also stars.
O’Connor’s role hasn’t been revealed. S.J. Clarkson (“Jessica Jones”) will direct while Matt Sazama and Burk Sharpless are writing the screenplay.
