Reacher Sets Its Second Season Story
Amazon Prime

Actor Alan Ritchson has revealed that the second season of Amazon Prime’s Jack Reacher TV series “Reacher” has set its source material.

Lee Child’s eleventh Reacher novel “Bad Luck and Trouble” will serve as the basis of the next run. In that book, a man is sent free-falling from a helicopter into the California desert night. He was one of eight members of an elite team of army investigators, two others being Reacher and Neagley.

With all being hunted down, the survivors of the old team reunite and scramble to connect the dots in a dark mystery involving two other comrades who have suddenly gone missing – and a trail that leads to Las Vegas and deals with terrorism.

The first season was based on the first book “Killing Floor” whilst the two previous Tom Cruise films were based on the tenth and eighteenth books respectively. The jump to eleven allows a larger inclusion of Maria Sten’s Frances Neagley character who showed up in half the episodes of the initial season even though she wasn’t in that book.

Filming on the second season run kicks off this Fall and follows on from the first season becoming one of Prime Video’s most-watched shows and the first to ever top the Nielsen streaming chart.
