In the streaming wars, Paramount+ has just pulled out a hell of a big gun.

Acting legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren will re-team for “1932,” the next spin-off in Taylor Sheridan’s “Yellowstone” franchise which is targeting a December launch. Mirren and Ford previously worked together on the film adaptation of “The Mosquito Coast” in 1986.

The new series will introduce a new and next generation of the Dutton family and explore the early twentieth century – a time of pandemics, drought, the Great Depression, and the end of Prohibition.

The new series follows the record-breaking performance of the mega-rating “Yellowstone” series’ first spin-off “1883” which Paramount is touting as the most-watched title ever on Paramount+ globally. Meanwhile the main “Yellowstone” series has just begun production of its fifth season.

MTV Entertainment Studios, 101 Studios, and Bosque Ranch Productions will produce the new series with Taylor Sheridan, John Linson, Art Linson, David C. Glasser, Ron Burkle, Bob Yari, Ben Richardson executive producing.
