Paramount+ has premiered a new trailer for the documentary-style ten-episode series “Players” which hails from Peabody Award winners and “American Vandal” creators Tony Yacenda and Dan Perrault.
Set against the cutthroat world of competitive gaming, the story follows a fictional pro-League of Legends esports team as they seek to take the championship after years of near-wins.
To do so they have to hire a 17-year-old gaming prodigy named Organizm whose ease in the spotlight threatens the group’s collective and individual egos.
Misha Brooks, Da’Jour Jones, Ely Henry, Holly Chou, Stephen Schneider, Peter Thurnwald, Youngbin Chung and Moses Storm star. “Players” will premiere on June 16th exclusively on the Paramount+ service.
