HBO Max has picked up a second season of its “Sex and the City” sequel series “And Just Like That” a month after the first season wrapped its ten-episode run.
Sarah Jessica Parker, Cynthia Nixon and Kristin Davis, who all serve as executive producers, reprised their roles of Carrie, Miranda and Charlotte respectively from the original HBO series. It’s expected all three will return, but no specific production or airing windows have been set as yet.
HBO has also renewed its Italian language coming-of-age drama “My Brilliant Friend” for a fourth and final season. The final run will be based on the final book “The Story of the Lost Child” in Elena Ferrante’s Neapolitan novel series.
HBO is currently in the middle of airing the eight-episode third season of the series.
