Ben Stiller and Cate Blanchett are set to star in a film adaptation of the 1960s British sci-fi spy series “The Champions” for ITV Studios America, New Republic Pictures, Dirty Films and Red Hour Productions.
Dennis Spooner created the original series which follows UN agents who survive a plane crash in the Himalayas and receive superpowers from an advanced civilization.
Returning to the outside world, they use their new powers to become champions of law, order and justice.
Stiller will also direct the film and produce alongside Blanchett, Brian Oliver, Bradley Fischer, Andrew Upton and Coco Francini.
