The CW has set its midseason premiere dates with the “Superman & Lois” second season and new series “Naomi” both launching Tuesday January 11th, “DC’s Legends Of Tomorrow” & “Batwoman” on Wednesday January 12th, and both “Legends of the Hidden Temple” and “Two Sentence Horror Stories” on Sunday January 16th.

There’s also “Walker” and “Legacies” returning Thursday January 27th, “All American” and its spin-off “All American: Homecoming” on Monday February 21st, “Riverdale” will be back Sunday March 6th, both “The Flash” and “Kung Fu” arrive Wednesday March 9th, and “Dynasty” moves to Fridays from March 11th with “Charmed” joining it. Wu-Tang: An American Saga
Hulu has renewed “Wu-Tang: An American Saga” for a third and final season – the order coming just over one week after the finale of the second season. Set in early 1990s New York at the height of the crack cocaine epidemic, the show tracks the band’s formation. [Source: Variety]

The 100
After two years in development, the long-in-the-works prequel spinoff of “The 100” is officially dead at the CW. Showrunner Jason Rothenberg started the project as a backdoor pilot in the seventh and final season of the main series which finished airing a year ago. The prequel would’ve followed events immediately in the wake of the nuclear apocalypse that wiped out most of Earth. [Source: Deadline]

The Plot
Mahershala Ali is attached to star in the limited psychological thriller series adaptation of Jean Hanff Korelitz’s best-selling novel “The Plot”. Abby Ajayi (“How to Get Away With Murder”) will pen the series.

The story deals with a struggling author and writing instructor who steals a genius plot idea for a novel from one of his students. The book is a smash hit, his career soars but he’s also drawn into a game of cat-and-mouse with a tormentor who knows he lifted the story idea. [Source: Variety]

The Righteous Gemstones
HBO has released a new trailer for the second season of its dark comedy “The Righteous Gemstones” from creator/star Danny McBride. The new season will see the family of televangelists facing new threats to their stronghold.

John Goodman, Adam Devine, Edi Patterson, Cassidy Freeman, Tony Cavalero, Skylar Gisondo, Tim Baltz, and Walton Goggins return while Eric Andre, Jason Schwartzman, Jessica Lowe, and Eric Roberts join the new run which begins January 9th 2022.
