With the Tokyo Game Show on this week, Square Enix teased new smaller entries in its juggernaut gaming and media franchise “Final Fantasy” along with a couple of other titles.
First up, they released a new trailer for “Stranger in Paradise: Final Fantasy Origin”- a retelling of the original “Final Fantasy” with a very different Souls-like gameplay style. The game is set to launch on March 18th 2022 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
Next, they also released a trailer for the upcoming mobile battle royale title “Final Fantasy VII: The First Soldier”. Set three decades before the events of FF7, the game will launch later this year on Android and iOS as a free-to-play game with microtransactions.
Continuing with “Final Fantasy,” they released the trailer for “Collection of SaGa: Final Fantasy Legend,” the first complete port of the three original Game Boy titles of the SaGa/Final Fantasy Legend series. This collection includes new enhancements like high-speed mode, and the ability to switch between a vertical or horizontal screen layout and arrives on Steam on October 21st.
From the design team behind multiple “Final Fantasy” titles comes “Dungeon Encounters – a unique dungeon exploration RPG in which you lead an expedition to chart the depths of an otherworldly labyrinth. The title arrives October 14th on Steam, PS4 & Switch.
Finally, there’s the trailer for “Echoes of Mana,” a free to play mobile action RPG title in the “Mana” series which is coming Spring 2022 worldwide.
