Supergirl
Following Mehcad Brooks’ exit as James Olsen from “Supergirl” on The CW, his onscreen sister Kelly Olsen (Azie Tesfai) will take up the mantle of Guardian for the back half of the show’s final season.

The key episode will be co-written by Tesfai and directed by Arrow’s David Ramsey and will depit the “first Ethiopian or Eritrean superhero” ever put to screen. Check out the first full photo above. [Source: Twitter]

Invisible Life
HBO has begun developing a scripted drama series based on E. Lynn Harris’ 1990s Invisible Life trilogy of novels. Harris David Rivers will pen the script while “Soul Food” duo Proteus Spann and Tracey Edmonds will executive produce.

The young, gay and Black author fashioned a deeply moving coming-of-age story out of the then-highly controversial issues of bisexuality and AIDS. [Source: THR]

Sanditon
Theo James is exiting PBS’ period drama “Sanditon” following the show’s surprise two-season renewal. The series, based on Jane Austen’s final and unfinished novel, was cancelled by British broadcaster ITV back in 2019. However, its ratings success on PBS prompted the reversal and renewal. Paper Girls
Amazon’s planned series adaptation of Brian K. Vaughan’s Eisner Award-winning comic “Paper girls” has tapped writer, comedian and actress Ali Wong to lead the cast as the adult version of Erin.

The series centers on four girls who are delivering newspapers on the day after Halloween in 1988 when they become unwittingly caught in a conflict between warring factions of time travelers. Shooting begins in Chicago later this year. [Source: THR]

Moon Knight
The first behind-the-scenes photo from the Budapest set of Marvel Studios’ “Moon Knight” is out and offers a first glimpse at Oscar nominee Ethan Hawke in his costume as the show’s villain who dons a brown suit with a walking cane. Set to debut in 2022, the six-episode series will be led by Oscar Isaac in the titular role of Marc Spector.
