The sixth season of the police corruption series “Line of Duty” will be coming to BritBox in the U.S. and Canada. The agreement reached will see the new and all future seasons exclusively on BritBox. MGM is in advanced negotiations to pre-buy Zach Braff’s “A Good Person” starring Florence Pugh and Morgan Freeman with the sale to cover North America and a host of international markets.
Pugh plays a woman whose life falls apart following her involvement in a fatal accident. In the following years, the unlikely relationship she forms with her would-be father-in-law (Freeman) that helps her live a life worth living. [Source: Deadline]
Stillwater
Matt Damon and director Tom McCarthy’s thriller “Stillwater” has been set for a July 30th 2021 release by Focus Features. Damon plays an oil rig roughneck from Oklahoma who travels to France to attempt to exonerate his estranged daughter (Abigail Breslin), who is in prison for a murder she claims she did not commit. The Cipher
“Condor” series creators and showrunners Jason Smilovic and Todd Katzberg have been hired to adapt Isabella Maldonado’s novel “The Cipher” into a film. Jennifer Lopez will star as an FBI agent engaged in a cat and mouse chase with a serial killer dropping complex riddles online. [Source: Deadline]
