“Mank” Set For Nov 13th Cinema Release

Netflix will be releasing David Fincher’s “Mank” in U.S. cinemas on November 13th, a full three weeks before the film’s global debut on Netflix on December 4th.

Vulture broke the news in a new profile of Fincher who has helmed what will almost certainly be one of Netflix’s big shots at awards consideration this year much like “Marriage Story” and “The Irishman” were last year and “Roma” was the year before.

Scorsese’s “The Irishman” received a limited theatrical release four weeks before the film dropped on Netflix with that whole saga making headlines and igniting debate about mandatory theatrical windows. A year on and with the entire future of the exhibition sector on shaky ground, all that controversy now seems trivial in comparison and certainly isn’t having any impact on the talk surrounding “Mank”.

Fincher’s film will also roll out in select territories early as well, Australian cinemas have confirmed limited season runs kicking off on November 19th.
