Rosario Dawson has reportedly been cast as the live-action version of “Star Wars: The Clone Wars” and “Star Wars: Rebels” character Ahsoka Tano in the upcoming second season of “The Mandalorian” for Disney+.
Slashfilm broke the story, indicating they’ve confirmed the casting of Dawson who has long been a fan favorite choice to take on the part. Ahsoka is Anakin Skywalker’s Jedi padawan apprentice but has previously only been seen in the “Star Wars” animated productions.
Dave Filoni is the co-creator of Ahsoka in animated form and a writer, producer, and director on “The Mandalorian”. He also helmed several episodes of both the first and second season of “The Mandalorian” which recently wrapped its second season shoot.
The site says neither Lucasfilm or Dawson have issued a response to their queries.
