Crank Yankers
Comedy Central has ordered twenty more episodes of the comedy puppet series “Crank Yankers” from Jimmy Kimmel’s Kimmelot production house. New episodes from the original twenty-episode order will continue to air from March 17th.
The return of the series in September was the network’s best series launch in three years with the series pulling in nine million total viewers after seven days of delayed viewing. [Source: Variety]
AJ and the McQueen
Netflix has cancelled “AJ and the Queen” after one season on Netflix. Series creator and star RuPaul Charles confirmed the news on Friday. Michael Patrick King was showrunner on the series about a down-on-her-luck drag queen who travels across America from club to club in a rundown 1990s RV with her unlikely sidekick AJ (Izzy G), a recently orphaned, tough-talking, scrappy 9-year-old stowaway. Guilty Party
Isla Fisher is set to star in and executive produce the half-hour dark comedy series “Guilty Party” at CBS All Access. Rebecca Addelman. (“Dead to Me”) pens, Trent O’Donnell (“No Activity”) helms and both executive produce the series.
Fisher plays Beth Baker, a discredited journalist who latches on to the story of a young mother sentenced to life in prison for maiming and murdering her husband, crimes she claims she didn’t commit. She finds herself in over her head as she contends with gun-smugglers, clickbait culture and her own tarnished past. [Source: The Wrap]
Truth Be Told
Apple has renewed its eight-episode Octavia Spencer-led drama series “Truth Be Told” for a second season. The series was released in December and received negative reviews from critics.
The first season followed podcaster Poppy Parnell who is compelled to reopen the murder case that made her a national sensation and comes face-to-face with the man (Aaron Paul) she may have mistakenly helped to put behind bars. [Source: Variety]

Netflix has released the final trailer for the second season of South Korean horror period drama “Kingdom” which is back March 13th. As winter approaches, the battle between the living and the undead in Korea’s Joseon period is just beginning. The royal court is teeming with snakes, the zombies are coming, and the crown prince has a nation to save. The worst is yet to come, and everyone will need to choose a side without knowing who they can really trust.
