Snoop Dogg Plans Sherlock-Inspired Series

Snoop Dogg has signed on to executive produce “IQ,” a reimagining of Sherlock Holmes currently in the works at Alcon Television and Snoopadelic Films.

Based on a four-novel series that began in 2016 by Joe Ide, the story follows Isaiah Quintabe – a brilliant 26-year old African American private eye from East Long Beach whose local reputation earned him the nickname IQ. Isaiah’s Watson is Juanell Dodson, a semi-reformed East Side Crip who re-enters IQ’s life with a big case.

“House of Lies” duo Matthew Carnahan and Theo Travers will serve as creators and executive producers on the series while Deon Taylor is attached to direct. No network or streaming service is currently attached.

Broderick Johnson, Andrew Kosove, Charles Roven, Alex Gartner, Joel Ehninger and Ben Roberts will all executive produce.
