Pratt Talks Third “Jurassic World” Shoot

Chris Pratt appeared on Ellen DeGeneres’ talk show yesterday to promote “Onward” and confirmed that he’s about to begin a lengthy shoot for the third “Jurassic World” film at Universal Pictures and Amblin Entertainment.

He goes on to say the movie, which just added “Venom” actor Scott Haze, is akin to another blockbuster Pratt worked on. That film? “Avengers: Endgame,” in that “its got pretty much everybody in it…All the cast from the original Jurassic Park is coming back. It’s going to feel very much like how Endgame brought everything together for Marvel.”

Pratt also talked about his schedule: “I leave tomorrow and I’ll be shooting for a long time. The script is unbelievable. Colin Trevorrow, who wrote and directed Jurassic World is coming back to do this one. I can’t wait… I will shoot on and off until July. It’s a big one. It’s about close to 100 shoot days. It’s a massive movie. It’s a big movie. We’ll be all over the world. The story is really, really engaging. Really cool. It’s gonna be big.”

Steven Spielberg and Colin Trevorrow return to executive produce and Trevorrow is once again directing the new film which includes Pratt, Bryce Dallas Howard, Jake Johnson, Omar Sy, Daniella Pineda, Justice Smith, Laura Dern, Sam Neill, and Jeff Goldblum co-starring. Emily Carmichael co-wrote the script with Trevorrow and that film opens June 11th next year.

Pratt was also asked by IGN about whether Chris Hemsworth’s Thor would show up in the proposed third “Guardians of the Galaxy. He responded: “How do you know that Thor’s not in Guardians 3?. We haven’t shot it yet. He might be in Guardians 3. We don’t know, there’s no definitive yes or no on that.”
