Ahead of Superbowl this Sunday, Paramount Pictures has released the ‘Big Game’ spot for the upcoming “The SpongeBob Movie: Sponge on the Run” which opens May 22nd.
The project marks the first 3D computer-animated SpongeBob movie ans is described as a love letter to original creator Steven Hillenburg who passed away last November.
Tim Hill helms the film which boasts not just a strong voice cast including Awkwafina and Reggie Watts, but has songs co-written by pop star legend Cyndi Lauper along with a score by Hans Zimmer.
Paramount Animation, Nickelodeon Movies and United Plankton Pictures release the film on May 22nd.
