“Glass” Has Cut “Unbreakable” Footage

M. Night Shyamalan’s upcoming “Unbreakable” and “Split” sequel “Glass” arrives next week and is expected to be the first major big box-office opener of 2018.

Now, in an interview with Fandango, the director revealed that cut footage from 2000’s “Unbreakable” will tie into the narrative: “I don’t want to give too much away but you do see moments of the original Unbreakable…scenes you didn’t get to see.”

The statement came in relation to Joseph, the son of David Dunn (Bruce Willis) in the film. Actor Spencer Treat Clark reprises the role in “Glass” and so it’s likely the cut footage relates to scenes involving Willis and Clark’s characters. The film’s narrative reportedly takes place around 15 years after “Unbreakable” and a few weeks after “Split”. “Glass” opens January 18th in cinemas.
