Following their first appearance in an episode of “Titans,” the DC Universe streaming service is timing that show’s finale with the unveiling of the first trailer for the “Doom Patrol” TV series along with some enjoyable mock posters and a premiere date – February 15th.
The clip includes first looks at Jovian Wade as Cyborg and Dianne Guerrero as Crazy Jane along with a brief glimpse of Timothy Dalton as The Chief. Joining them in the trailer are Brendan Fraser as Robotman, Matt Bomer as Negative Man, and April Bowlby as Elasti-Woman.
In the series, each team member suffers a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities – but also left them scarred and disfigured. Traumatized and downtrodden, the team found purpose to investigate the weirdest phenomena in existence – and to protect Earth from what they find.
Alan Tudyk plays the villainous Mr. Nobody in the series which is expected to be based on the 1990s Vertigo imprint version of the comics. “Doom Patrol” premieres on the DC Universe platform early next year.
