“Spider-Man” Closing Out MCU Phase 3

Spider Man Far From Home Global Posters

Though Marvel Studios has been touting for a while that the upcoming “Avengers: Endgame” is the final piece of its ‘third phase’ of films, it looks like plans have changed.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige has now confirmed in a new interview with an Asian news outlet that July’s “Spider-Man: Far From Home” won’t serve as the first film of the studio’s ‘fourth phase’.

Instead, that movie is being dubbed a Phase 3 epilogue. He says: “It’s the end of the third phase, you’re the first person I told that to.”

As previously indicated, the story of ‘Far From Home’ will kick off almost immediately after the events of ‘Endgame’ and so it sounds like it may deal will some of the fallout as well.

The move also allows Marvel Studios to do their big ‘Phase 4’ presentation later this year announcing their plans for the next five years like they did in 2014 when they announced their ‘Phase 3’ films.

The talk comes as various impressive fan posters and special commissions by web artists have cropped up online, check some of them out below. “Avengers: Endgame” opens April 26th, “Spider-Man: Far From Home” hits July 2nd.
