Vanessa Kirby (“The Crown,” “Mission: Impossible – Fallout”) is in final negotiations to star alongside Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham in the “Fast and Furious” spinoff film “Hobbs and Shaw”.
David Leitch (“Deadpool 2”) is slated to direct the project which sees Johnson and Statham reprising their roles of special agent Luke Hobbs and criminal mastermind Deckard Shaw, respectively.
Kirby would play Deckard’s sister, an MI-5 agent. Helen Mirren and Luke Evans previously appeared in the “Fast and Furious” films as Deckard’s mother and brother respectively.
Chris Morgan penned the script while Johnson, Statham, Morgan, Dany Garcia, Hiram Garcia and Neal Moritz will produce with filming to kick off this Fall ahead of a July 26th 2019 release.
