Tom Cruise Gets AMC Workers Into “Odyssey”

Paramount Pictures

IMAX held a screening on Wednesday night for “The Odyssey” at the AMC Lincoln Square in New York with 63-year-old movie star Tom Cruise set to appear according to Page Six.

A thunderstorm delayed his arrival in Manhattan until 10:45 p.m., well after the screening had finished.

When Cruise finally got there, IMAX re-screened the movie for him but not before he rounded up every AMC staffer he could find and brought them into the theater to watch the movie with him.

Cruise, one of the biggest proponents of the theatrical experience working today, then posted photos of himself and staff attending the screening on social media.

In his posting, he thanked filmmaker Chris Nolan, his wife and producing partner Emma Thomas, and the film’s cast and crew.

Cruise can next be seen in Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s upcoming movie “Digger” which releases in October and has just released a new World Cup-themed promo spot that you can see below.
