Powell, Ortega-Led Sci-Fi “Beyond” Delayed

Netflix

The J.J. Abrams-directed sci-fi fantasy movie “The Great Beyond,” starring Glen Powell and Jenna Ortega,” has been delayed almost a full year.

The title was originally slated to arrive on November 13th this year, but the delay of “The Batman: Part II” has seen a number of Warners release date dominoes fall today.

‘Beyond’ has now been pushed back almost a full year and will take over the October 1st 2027 release date that Batman vacated.

The film follows an author of popular fantasy novels who reveals that the mythical world he’s known for creating is actually real – sending the lead character on a quest.

Emma Mackey and Samuel L. Jackson also star in the film which is said to have a “The Last Starfighter”-style vibe.

Warners has also shifted Sam Esmail’s “Panic Carefully” from February 26th 2027 to April 9th 2027, while the horror sequel “Revenge of La Llorona” has gone from that April to that February date.
