“The Grey” and “The A-Team” writer/director Joe Carnahan keeps making headlines today with word that he’s the latest to come onboard to pen the screenplay for the “X-Men” spin-off film “X-Force” at 20th Century Fox.
At last report Simon Kinberg was working on the screenplay for the film which would include a team of mutant heroes that were darker and more violent than your typical X-Men team and said members would be introduced in a third “Deadpool” film.
Whether that’s still the case is unclear. Carnahan is currently attached only to write the screenplay, not to direct, but that could change depending upon scheduling.
Carnahan remains attached to direct “Bad Boys For Life,” has penned the “Uncharted” video game adaptation, and is currently planning a remake of “The Raid”.
