The switching out of directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller with Ron Howard just weeks before the conclusion of principal photography on the “Star Wars” young Han Solo spin-off film left everyone in a tizzy.
That said, one person right in the midst of the storm seems to be unphased by the change of command. Speaking with Uproxx this week, actor Woody Harrelson was asked about the craziness and how he’s feeling. He says:
“Oh, you can relax, man – because obviously the Force is with us [laughing]. Ron is great. He’s awesome. He’s such a gentleman and so prepared. And I loved Chris and Phil. But I think we did land in very capable hands.”
Harrelson, who is set to play a mysterious mentor to young Han Solo, worked with Howard on 1999’s “EDtv”. Alden Ehrenreich, Donald Glover, Emilia Clarke and Phoebe Waller-Bridge co-star in the young “Han Solo” film which opens May 25th next year.
While there’s unlikely to be much more said about the film at this year’s D23 convention this weekend, “Star Wars: The Last Jedi” director Rian Johnson is happily confirming on Twitter that he’ll be there in Anaheim.
