Steam’s Best Selling Games Of 2018

Valve have announced in a blog post the top-selling games on Steam in 2018. While it doesn’t discuss financial revenue, the list is said to be made up of a combination of game sales, microtransactions and downloadable content.

The list understandably does not include three of the year’s biggest games – “Red Dead Redemption 2” which hasn’t yet been released for PC, and PS4 exclusives “God of War” and “Marvel’s Spider-Man”.

The top twelve selling games on Steam as measured by gross revenue in 2018 were:

“Grand Theft Auto V”
“Monster Hunter: World”
“Far Cry 5”
“Assassin’s Creed Odyssey”
“Rocket League”
“PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds”
“Rainbow Six Siege”
“Civilization VI”
“The Elder Scrolls Online”
“Counter-Strike: Global Offensive”
“Dota 2”

Many of those titles were also some of the most played in 2018 as well. Meanwhile “Beat Saber” scored the VR title of the year.
