Premium cabler Starz has acquired and set Fall premiere dates for a half-dozen projects today.
The list begins with the Mel Gibson-Sean Penn led movie “The Professor and the Madman” which will kick off on October 5th, followed by Ben Masters’ immigration documentary “The River and the Wall” on October 21st.
Next comes the 1970s-set Ethan Hawke and Noomi Rapace-led true-crime feature “Stockholm” on December 14th, the Geena Davis-directed documentary “This Changes Everything” on December 16th, and the Ellen Page-Kate Mara film “My Days of Mercy” on December 27th.
That’s not all though as they’ve also taken both seasons of the Idris Elba produced semi-autobiographical family comedy “In the Long Run” along with its holiday special. That comedy, inspired by his experience growing up in east London in the 1980s, will release its first season November 1st, its second on December 6th, and its special on December 20th.
