Netflix Picks Up Rights To “Little Prince”

Following Paramount Pictures’ recent yanking of the animated feature “The Little Prince” from its originally planned release this week, Netflix has picked up the domestic rights to the film with plans to premiere it on the streaming service later in the year.

Mark Osborne directs this adaptation of the 1943 book by Antoine de Saint-Exupery which premiered out of competition at the Cannes Film Festival last May. Jeff Bridges, Rachel McAdams, Paul Rudd, Marion Cotillard, James Franco and Benicio del Toro all lend their voices to the film.

‘Prince’ has grossed $100 million internationally along with being awarded France’s Cesar Award for best animated film.
