After three seasons on FOX, fan-favourite supernatural procedural “Lucifer” was cancelled which led to complaints and a campaign to revive it.
In swooped Netflix to save the show and produce a fourth season which aired earlier this year. Then, shortly after, it was revealed the streaming service was going to cancel the show after one more season – a fifth one which would consist of ten episodes.
That’s changed today as TV Line reports that Netflix has decided to raise the final episode count of the show’s last season from 10 to 16, giving showrunners Ildy Modrovich and Joe Henderson plenty of breathing room to create a satisfying conclusion.
The series has seen a real mix of episode counts with the respective seasons getting 13, 18, 24, 10 and now 16. All four seasons to have aired are now available on Netflix.
