“007: First Light” Opening Titles Sequence

Io Interactive

IO Interactive has premiered the official opening credits sequence for the upcoming “007: First Light” video game.

The sequence features the original song “First Light” written and composed by Lana Del Rey and regular Bond movie composer David Arnold.

Done akin to a full Bond film opening credits, there’s the usual traits of slinky female silhouettes, Bond walking around with his gun out, masks, eyeballs, computer screens, chandeliers, and an island explosion sequence right at the start that seems almost a homage to Bond’s death in “No Time to Die”.

This isn’t Lana Del Rey’s first brush with Bond. Two years ago she revealed her song “24” was originally written as a candidate for 2017’s “Spectre” with Sam Smith’s “The Writing’s on the Wall” being the one that ultimately won.

A video is also out of how they developed the music for the game as Missions & Audio Director Dominic Vega and in-game soundtrack composers The Flight lift the curtain on their creative processes.

“007 First Light” is coming to Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 5 and PC on May 27th.
