To mark the end of the year, streaming giant Netflix has released an official rankings list of the most popular content of the year ranging from movies to TV series to documentaries and stand-up specials.
The numbers reveal that the biggest success story of the year on the service was “Murder Mystery,” the Adam Sandler and Jennifer Aniston comedy that topped everything, including the third season of “Stranger Things” which came in second.
Original action movies scored big for the streamer though with “6 Underground” in third, “The Irishman” in fifth, “Triple Frontier” in seventh and “The Highwaymen” in tenth. On the TV front it was “The Witcher,” “Umbrella Academy,” “Dead to Me” and “You” that also did very well for the service.
Netflix doesn’t release any specific numbers showing how it ranks ‘popularity’.
