There’s been a good few rumors regarding Marvel projects this week.
MCU Cosmic is claiming Sersi (Gemma Chan) and Black Knight (Kit Harington) will serve as the lead characters of “Eternals”. CBR claims that a “Secret Invasion” TV series is in development at Disney+, a series that will tie directly into “Captain Marvel 2”. The Illuminerdi claim the Inhuman characters of Red Dagger and Kamran will be introduced in the “Ms. Marvel” series, and that both actress Alicia Vikander and director Michelle MacLaren are being sought for a “Spider-Woman” film at Sony. GeeksWorldWide says an “Agents of Atlas” project is in development with the “Shang Chi” film to serve as a lead-up.
It’s not clear if any of these rumors are true at this point as all sound highly speculative. More concrete is the news that “Morbius,” the second instalment in Sony’s mini-Marvel Universe following “Venom” in 2018, is currently undergoing reshoots a little over five months before release.
The film’s star Jared Leto revealed the news himself on his social media channels, confirming he and the crew have reunited on set. According to all reports, these are pretty standard pickups with no serious retooling required.
Matt Smith, Adria Arjona, Jared Harris and Tyrese Gibson co-star in the Daniel Espinosa-helmed film which opens July 31st.
