Taylor Sheridan’s newest series, “The Madison,” has been renewed for a third season on the Paramount+ service, according to THR.
The six-episode family grief-drama had an unusual release for its first season last month – dropping three episodes on March 14th and then the remaining three on March 21st.
It worked; the show became the biggest original series launch yet for a Sheridan show on the streamer, snagging 8 million viewers globally during its first 10 days.
The series had a unique filming structure due to co-star Kurt Russell’s commitments to “Monarch: Legacy of Monsters”. The result was that the first season was shot September 2024 except for Kurt Russell’s scenes.
Then, a year later, a second season began production with Russell’s first season scenes being shot at that time as well. Russell and Michelle Pfeiffer will both return for the third season.
The cast also includes Beau Garrett, Elle Chapman, Patrick J. Adams, Amiah Miller, Alaina Pollack, Ben Schnetzer, Kevin Zegers, Rebecca Spence, Danielle Vasinova, and Will Arnett.
A release date for season two will be announced at a later date.
