Mr. & Mrs. Smith
Talia Ryder (“West Side Story,” “Dumb Money”) has replaced Sophie Thatcher in the lead role for the second season of “Mr. and Mrs. Smith” at Amazon Prime Video. Mark Eydelshteyn (“Anora”) co-stars. Anna Ouyang Moench serves as showrunner on the new season which will film shortly in Los Angeles. [Source: Variety]
Welcome to Wrexham
FX has renewed Rob Mac and Ryan Reynolds’s hit docuseries “Welcome to Wrexham” for an additional three seasons. That will take the show through at least its eighth season. The order comes roughly one month ahead of the premiere of Season 5, which will debut on FXX and Hulu on May 14th with its first two episodes.
The fifth season follows Wrexham AFC’s quest for promotion to the Premier League on the heels of three consecutive promotions, a feat that has never been achieved in English Football League history. [Source: Variety]
Euphoria
Following Sunday night’s premiere, a ‘In the Weeks Ahead’ trailer has been launched for the third season of “Euphoria”. The preview trailer has already been criticised for a scene involving Sydney Sweeney’s Cassie and the outfit she wears for one of her online sessions. Weekly episodes of the series will continue through May 31st.
Little House on the Prairie
Netflix released the teaser trailer for its new adaptation of Laura Ingalls Wilder’s “Little House of the Prairie” book series which premieres on July 9th. Rebecca Sonnenshine serves as showrunner
The series follows the Ingalls family as they begin a new life in rural Minnesota. The show is described as “part hopeful family drama, part epic survival tale, and part origin story of the American West”. Alice Halsey
